Advancing our Parkinson's care

Episcopal Church Home is excited to share that we have created a formal partnership with Struthers Parkinson’s Care Network. The program which is referred to as the TULIPS program will give Episcopal Church Home staff specific training for caring for residents with Parkinson’s Disease. Specialized training modules will take place over the first quarter of 2020. After this training is completed, ECH will be considered a place of excellence for Parkinson’s care. We are excited to add this new specialty to our care offerings and increase our staff knowledge in this area. Staff who complete their first four assigned modules can report to Staff Development to pick up a tulip pin to add to their badge showing your new expertise!

Pharmacy changes

Episcopal Church Home, The Gardens and Iris Park Commons are getting ready for a change in pharmacy providers which will be coming to each setting one at a time over January, February and March. Training dates for staff are posted for each building to prepare for the new change. Sterling Pharmacy will be taking over in the coming weeks and we look forward to improved customer service from a family run pharmacy. This change also means the end of the use of the Passport machine at ECH. For more information, please seek out the posted training sessions in your particular building.
